Why Do some People Call the U.S. a Democratic Representative Republic when No Such Government Form Exists?

Stop it with the semantics.We call it what it has been traditionally been called.Kind of like people calling roaches bugs, when they are not and calling chimpanzees monkeys when they are not.So stop trying to sound smart by calling chimps apes.
