My Friend is feels Guilty for my Boyfriend Hitting Me?

No matter what you do or say, he's going to feel guilty and he's going to do everything in his power to protect you and make you feel better. In his head, it's his fault for allowing you to get hurt and it will be his fault in the future if you ever get hurt again. It's going to be hard to adjust for a little while but over time things will calm down and he wont be near as overprotective, until then- don't get upset with him, he's just trying to be your best friend. He's hurting a lot over seeing what happened to you- no one deserves to get hurt.
