Being gay in high school.?

When the new school term starts, I'll be a freshman in a WV high school. Now, my middle school was a horrid experience due to the seemingly hundreds of homophobic comments and jokes directed towards me (being the only legitimately gay guy in a school of 1200). When discussing the issue with my close friend Hathir whom his a grown adult working at the high school, she told me that homosexuality is much more accepted there. I know I can trust her, but all the kids making homophobic remarks towards me will be in the same grade again! So bottom line, Will it be better in high school?
